Anyone have experience with ebay a/c compressors? I need to replace my compressor and condenser (both are leaking) and want to do it on the cheap for my del sol daily beater. Found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-...Q5fAccessories

should I even attempt it? or just go grab one at advanced auto for $300? i know ebay is generally junk so I dont want it to just start leaking in 2 weeks. but I would like to keep the costs down as best I can, normally I wouldnt even use a/c but MD summers + no a/c + wearing a suit to work = HOT AS HELL!!!

It's just a re-manufactured a/c. I think it will be fine. If you are that worried about it just have yours rebuilt.

 

Right but any compressor you buy is going to remanufactured. So my concern is that these are junk and that's why they are so much cheaper.

Anyone ever actually used one off eBay?
