Type R Pistions in GSR block require tuning to run.
Hello,
Quick question, we have a Stock GSR which has a blown bottom end. We have the opportunity to buy a GSR shortblock with Type R Pistions. The car is completely stock and don't plan to run any modifications. We just want to get the car up and running as a daily driver. Will the stock ECU be able to handle the higher compression ratio. And should it be able to pass smog with these pistions given all the other emission stuff is working properly.
Thanks
