Can't find headlight adjustment walkthrough
I just got a pair of JDM CTR headlights and am going to be installing them this weekend along with a set of HIDs and wanted to get them aligned since I know they are already pointed in the wrong direction let alone the HIDs. I searched for a thread I have seen on here that details it pretty well but didn't have any luck.
Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks

What kinda wrench gets in there without first removing the headlight?
Ratcheting box wrench?
Universal flex on a regular ratchet handle??
Mine is a '97 - I just put in new stock-type replacements, no-name type.

Are you talking about removing the headlight or aiming it? Removal includes taking off the bumper: two 10mm bolts underneath, 2 screws either side in wheel well, and like 7 plastic screws under the hood. Headlights have 4 10mm bolts, two on top and one on either side that can be seen after removing bumper. Aiming you just use a longish screwdriver, youll see the slots in the back of the lights with a gear screw, just turn them until they are at the correct height and angle ahead.
edit- just noticed you said before removal. all you need is the screwdriver to turn the aiming screws.

I took a look at it. Passenger side needs adj. Has a Phillips head screw, no hex. No room for a screwdriver. Maybe room if i remove the upper part of air box assembly. However it's only about 20 deg. F out there today so it will have to be another day!
What's cool is there's a viewing window at rear of top of lens to see the level that's inside. If the car is level you should be able to aim it without even seeing a wall in front of car.

OK - done.
You can get at a gear-toothed wheel from top side of installed headlight.
Find the clear window at back edge of lens, look down and see bubble level inside.
Directly behind viewing window on back of headlight assy, a couple inches down, is the adjusting screw. Concentric with the screw is the toothed wheel. Even in daylight, use a flashlight to see the layout.
Access to the wheel is not from directly above, but from a point just a couple inches closer to car's center line. There's just enough room to get a medium-small flat blade screwdriver in to move the teeth. From engine bay, facing forward, turn clockwise to raise the beam.
