1997 Accord LX ECU removal
Hey guys,
one of my buddies is setting me up with a performance chip for the ECU in my 97 accord LX.
I'm having trouble locating and removing it.
Could anyone please help me out? I couldn't find a tutorial for removal, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Pull the Carpet from underneath the Glove box on the passengers side. You will see a metal cover. Undo all the bolts around the Cover (theres 4 of them) You will see a wire Harness (or harnesses) that lead to the ECU, which is bolted on the other side of the cover. Pull out the Harnesses, then cover out from the floor. Then you just unbolt the ECU and then Hold it over your head and Scream "ANYTHING'S POSSIBLE"
"performance" chip won't do anything and you'll probably end up damaging the ECU.
I'd suggest against it. There's also no real "tuning" for a OBDII computer unless you run a piggy back. Which you're not.
If you want actual tuning capabilities you want to downconvert to OBDI and run an ACTUAL chipped ecu running Chrome/Uberdata/etc
