Doing some research on cell phone based alarms
I know that audiovox makes some stuff and I understand that autpage makes some stuff. But I dont really undrstand it all. Google search and honda-tech search isn't turning up much.
I'm looking for an alarm that will text you when your alarm goes off... and perhaps GPS tracking, maybe controling the car with the phone locking/unlocking/starting controlling windows etc... etc...
Is this kind of technology even out yet? wehre can I read more about it? audiovox and autopage's websites suck.
Thanks in advance

looked though your sticky bro and it looks like you discusss cell phones for GPS purposes.
I was wondering a little more about systems that allow you to use your phone as the remote to unlock/lock/start the car.

Systems like that are gps cellular based. The gps picks up were you are at and then transmit the information thru a cellular signal to your phone. Gps is only a one way signal. You can not transmit a signal back with gps. This is the reason why people get there windows broken out and there gps units stolen and they can not be tracked.
