Looking to change out my steering wheel and eliminate the air bags, so in return might as well remove the srs wiring. My question is does the srs signal light still run through the pcm(ecu), or will removing the controlunit/srswire/and airbags eliminate the light from coming on. And if not what steps will be needed for this. Thanks

 

There is a SRS indicator control inside the cluster assy. If you unplug the SRS ,the light will still turn on. Might as well remove the bulb.

Yep, just pull all that stuff out (SRS wires are all covered in yellow) and remove the SRS bulb from the cluster.
