i just bought some hx rims to put on my vtec del sol (1994) but the front breaks press against part of the spoke, is there anything i can do to fix this? will spacers take away from the performance? will spacers work? help someone

 

grind em down but be careful not to do it to much

 

you can grind it down or get some 5mm spacers or you could just trade me for my ls webs

 

no thanks on the trade, but how much will 5mm spacers run me? and will it effect the performance of the car at all? which option do u suggest i do?

 

yea they have to be grinded.. get a grinder or dremal and u can grind a HAIR off the caliper. that should be it. if not get a 3 or 5mm spacer. i think 3 clears.

 

does anyone know if a 3mm will clear for sure???

ive heard of people clearin with 1mm spacers... 3 should be strait, that works with a gsr teg.
just grind em...

so should i go with 1mm 2mm or 3mm, also will i be able to use the stock bolts? or will i have to buy new ones because the spacers will shorten the thread? sorry for all the noob questions ive tried to look this up but i didnt see any specific to hx rims and del sol vtec

dude just grind em thats what everyone does, its not that ghetto. u only need to grind down a 1/16 maybe 1/8 of an inch at the most.
