i need a nonVTEC ecu from a 96-98 civic DX hatchback only, unless other DX/LX ecus dont look for a Fuel Tank Pressure sensor. ecu code is P2E-A01. i need to pick up asap so i can take my emissions test.

that ecu will not throw a code for the fuel pressure sensor, but it will throw a code for IACV...

Just a headsup Arthur, Good luck passing emissions, my ****ing car had the same problem.

-Only way to fix the problem is to drop the tank and put a si tank =/..

 

with what ecu? the p2p? man your up pretty late too. haha. 3rd shifters.

 

P2E obd2a Non-Vtec ECU looks for the IACV that comes with DX motors, the EX engines have a different IACV plug, so there is no way to by-pass that.

I tried a LS ecu also, for some reason all the Ls ecu's i tried threw a code for TPS.
Hook up a p2p and i would get the fuel evap code. I bought a new gas cap ant nothing, i think its code 91... I tried everything....I eventually applied for a wavier.

 

yah its all good im running the stock d16y7 dx motor. i was going to swap motors with 95 ex but i didnt want to go through the hassle of swapping intake manifolds, ecus, or converting the EK to obd1. i dont need to spend more monies. im already broke. haha.

on my old 99 EX i also had the code 91 for the fuel tank pressure sensor and i tried to use the potentiometer trick from FF_SQUAD but it didnt work for me. so i just sold the car.
