My brothers car died on the freeway, Turns out the car was ran without oil. Towed it home, added oil and fired it up. I thought the motor was siezed, but it turned on. Loud knocking noise like spun rod.My brother reved it up not knowing what could happen, and blew out a bunch of oil from the bottom of the motor. Well I jacked it up this morning and noticed the oil pan was cracked.Took it off, and this is what I found. The car btw is a bone stock 2000 Civic Ex.









Pulled the motor out this morning, just looking for a motor now. Bet he checks his oil more often. just sharing story with you guys

 

ouch.....how many miles did it have? how hard did he beat this motor? He didnt have any oil? his oil gauge didnt come on? if its a 2000 it should have one i believe....DAMN....i cant believe people dont put oil in there vehicles....its one of the only maintenance things you have to do keep a honda alive....

 

DAMN! Poor little motor. At least the car is in good hands now.

theres a video on youtube of a honda they poured water in the crank case and did burnouts on 2 hood with spare tires. pretty funny. they shoved bananas in the exhaust holes on the block and started the car...what a champ of a motor

Geez....I don't get why people don't check and change oil on a regular basis. Mine gets new oil every 3k miles, and I have just over 125k miles on it, and 55k miles with the turbo.

hahahahhaHAAHAHa i was screwing with my speakers for like 20 minutes...

 

Your not alone..I checked a couple times to make sure indeed that my speakers were turned ON..they were. Then I check..oh about 1/2 a dozen times to make sure the Volume meter was turned up on the Vid Player..it was.

Hahaha.

 

ouch poor motor i would be so upset if it blew because of something that easy like checking the oil. but operating a motor without oil is like trying to run a marathon without any blood
