Default GC/KY setup on DB8

I some one ground controls with konis with 550f
and 350r. they ride kinda bouncy on my car.
shocks are almost new. is it because of the
spring rates?

How low are you? Are you sure you're not hitting the bump stops?

You're probably hitting the bump stops. You can check by putting a zip tie on the rod that goes into the shock body and driving around, then seeing where it is. If its against the bump stop, you need to either raise the car up or address the lack of suspension travel in another manner.

You can get extended top hats to give your car a little more travel. There is also a writeup on here about lowering the shock within the front fork. Also, I believe Koni offers shocks that have the shock body shortened.

dude i was so planning to buy the same setup 550f 350r koni sp3, top hat. I thought that was the dream slammed set up! maybe you have a big bump stop? maybe rims are 16" with 50s or 45s? or maybe spring rate are just to stiff? this is mine with gc and stock shocks, 380f 250r, 15" ls mesh on 195,50,15

post some pictures of yours? i still believe this is the slammed set up! maybe just something is wrong. prove me wrong so that i don't spend $1000 on not slammed setup.

What do you mean by this? You are using GC on Konis that look like this, correct?

When you said "cup" did you mean sleeve? Or something else?

Why would you want to switch the sleeves? The only difference is the length of the sleeve, but both sit on the Koni circlip just the same, and neither would let you go any lower than the other.

You could always move the Koni circlip down to the lower groove to be able to go lower.
