what is the lowest weight reduce on the 4gen lude that you see???
add to that some extremely light wheels, fiberglass or c/f paneling, and remove absolutely everything from the cabin except for your seat and shifter and you'll be 300lbs lighter.
there is a company in japan that makes a RHD fiberglass dash for the prelude and they also make fiberglass doors..
i think the company is k's speed, i will get the link when i get home...

mine is down to 2600 lbs with me in it. I still have some weight I can pull out like side panels and sound proofing and things like that. I am also going to get a fuel cell to reduce some of the weight there. I have no PS, no AC, no cruise, all the stuff the went with those are gone as well, condensor, brackets, etc. I have fiberglass fenders, hood, front peice, basically everything fromt he windshield forward. I am going to do some Lexan rear quarter windows soon as well as the back one...maybe the back one.
it's 4th gen, and I still have some left to go. I'm droping the rear bumper brace and then putting the cover back on. Hell it's only good for like a fender bender anyway, anything above like 20 MPh and it's trashed anyway. I'm gonna keep the front one just for peace of mind, but the back one is about 50 lbs I am not gonna miss.
if you wanna make it light, cut off the front end of the car( just in front of the fire wall forward) and make it tube chassis. or just tube the whole damn thing.

i'm gonna guess about 150lbs, which leaves your lude with 2450lbs!!! how in the world did you lose 500lbs????? tell me the secret! jeez. even with all the fiberglass parts and stuff, that sounds kinda low. are you sure about that weight?
my 91 accord weighed in at 2450 at one point...and i didn't change any of the body panels...

i still can't believe it weighs only 2600lbs WITH YOU in it... how much do you weigh?

F23 what all did you do? I'm trying to bring my 90 down to 2500. Everything behind the front seats is gone as of this morning ( I just started). But what all did you do? carpet, sound deadening, door panels, i can't think of enough to get it down without messing with the body. Thanks.
I know the weight is correct, it was done on old school dirt track scales for cross weights and stuff. Looks like a doctors scale under each tire then you put the numbers in a program and it gives you front/rear, left/right, and cross weights. The main place I got rid of weight was under the hood. Check it out...

I have pretty much everything removed. I am going to go with the euro-R mani (a little lighter) an aluminum TB, I have some bumper supports to tear out, and then the fuel cell in the rear. Other than that a racing seat and a fiber dash is about the only things left. I took EVERYTHING out of the inside, and most of the useless underpinning and sound deadening crap from underneath. Basically if it didn't do anything and didn't hold the car together it came off.

here is some of there products, i talked to them about importing but they said (in very bad english) that it would be very expensive and maybe not worth it but i might setup a wholesale thing with them and buy bulk to cover cost...

i think the doors are 8500 yen which isnt to bad but the shipping costs is where it hurts... and they are made to use acrylic windows or lexan

the doors wont effect controls because its just s skin and basic frame plus you can put your door panels on a jdm door no bigge and your right about the dash but its an idea that im sure someone can make here in the states
