who has installed ENERGY SUSPESNSION bushings?
I've put them on my crx. It took about a day for all of them, just me and a torch and hacksaw. The little cups for the ball joints really don't make much of a difference. I would only replace them if the existing one is already ripped. I think the only benifit it would give is longivity. I may be wrong though.
ive done my rear trailing arm bushing didnt do teh DS yet cause it took me 4 hours to do teh PS but it did correct camber that **** had to be torched cut and riped teh **** out but it went in very easy with a nut bolt and washers.....i imagine if u can get the stock bushings out u can do the with the nut bolt tech....also my ball joint bushings are shot how hard with a press are they to do?
The cups/bushings on the ball joints have clips that hold them on. To replace them just take the clips off and pull the cups down. When you put the new ones on be sure to repack them with grease. The only thing is I can't recall the type that is used.

My suggestion take everything out (LCA's, and camber mounts) take it to a shop to have it pressed out it's much quicker, unless you have access to a do it your self shop that has a press. The whole hacksaw and torch thing takes too long. Both of my cars took approx. 4-6 hours each, (that included taking it to the shop to have it pressed out). Where as firstimers with the hacksaw method will take the whole day and or 2 or 3 in some cases that my friends told me

or, you can do what i am and buy a 12 ton press from harber freight..
The reason why people do the hacksaw and torch thing is cost. It costs about $15-$20 to have a bushing replaced by a machine shop. $15-$20 might not sound like alot of money. Until you find out that there are 14 such bushings to replace with the Energy Suspension master kit (2 on each front lower control arm, two on each front upper control arm, and three on each rear control arm). And this does not take into account those bushings NOT included in the master kit (ie rear trailing arm bushings). So as you can see, the costs can really rack up if you pay someone else to do it.
I didn't pay for anything I took it to a shop and did it myself. I know most people do have friends here and there that have access to a shop. Besides it's always a money issue even when buying anything for your car, so if your going to buy something for it better be able to spend money for it. Lets not try and insult anyone's intelligence in here, my suggestion is what I prefered. Whatever route they choose to take is their decision, their money, their time. However, yes it is exspensive to have someone do it for you.
