Default Car dies and wont start, but starts right up the next day???

Hey so i have a 2000 civic ex everything stock on it. I was driving to la for anaheim this weekend and about 20min in to my drive my car just dies in the fast lane on the freeway in bumper to bumper traffic. So i get out and push it to the side try to start it, everything thing seems fine lights all work everything work, it just wont turn over. So aaa come towes me to a local shop. They call me today saying the car is fine it starts right up. They also so you may have ignition problems. So my question is what does ht think is wrong wit it??? oh and by the way i had my ac on all the way up too so that might add to it?

After the engine died, the engine would crank but not start, right?

Intermittent problems are the worst because troubleshooting is only informative when the engine won't start. Until you can properly troubleshoot when the engine won't start, you can only guess. With that said, the type of problem you describe is often caused by a faulty ICM in the distributor.

Is the CEL ON?

Sorry been really busy wit work, but i got the car back. There is no cel on and everything seems to be normal again. The only thing is(and this happen before my whole freeway thing too) when i start my car it takes like 2-3 seconds sometime. Like normal car just starts, mine will kinda try to turn over for like 3 second then turn over. Do you guys think this could be from the ignition? How would i be able to test that to know for sure. All the electric stuff in my car seems to work fine beside my radio just stopped working like a week ago but i think that is a whole nother thing. What do you think could be the problem. The car is a 2000 wit 138,000miles and i did i tune up about 10-15k miles ago car runs fine at idle and while driving just the start seems alittle weak. Anyone know whats up wit my car?... Thanks HT

Check your fuel pump wiring and pump itself. mine gave me **** for a while bit some electronics cleaner and I was good.

sounds like a coil stops firing when it gets hot. Happens quite often on honda motorcycles.
