I'm just curious, but, is there a way to install power locks and/or an alarm system into my Civic DX Sedan, which currently does not have power windows, power locks, or an alarm system in general?

Go to a junkyard, and buy 4 doors with power locks and windows of off a 1996-2000 civic EX sedan. You cannot 'convert' your doors to power locks and windows.

and you can install an alarm on any car.

 

yes u can install power windows and power door locks into your car. any car audio/video alarm installation place can do that for you.. SPAL makes a complete door kit for your car. i have installed power locks in my ek hatch.

 

Locks I can understand, Didn't know you can convert manual windows to power ones in an EK, Do you have pics of the process or a link to the kit?

 

Its a SPAL 80 kit. I have installed plenty of these on all different year honda's/acura's. SPAL 80 kits consist of two power door lock actuators and two power window motors with hardware. The way it works is that u cut the shaft of manual widow regulator. And install a adaptar over the window crank shaft and run wires into the door and it comes with switches which u mount any where in the car. Its pretty cool. Autoloc also makes a kit.

That is a universal kit, not honda specific, that is why I was not familiar with it.

 

Sorry yea its a universal kit. It works pretty well. Never had serious problems with this certain kit.
