Honda Accord Trunk Lock
Just recently I went to open my trunk and the key became jammed in the lock. When I was finally able to turn it, the trunk no longer opened. I can hear the mechanical lock turning inside but the latch doesn't operate. The auto release inside the car still opens the trunk no problem, but I can't get it to open with the key at all. It's a pain to turn with the key in too, almost feels like it rusted. My question is: 1. how do I remove the trunk lock to replace it. or 2. Any idea how to fix this...a bit of oil did nothing. Any help would be great. Thanks!
oh sorry, it's a 92 accord LX, and I am definitely using the master key. I've had the car for a few years and this is the first time it has happened. I tried looking in the Haynes honda repair manual but suprisingly there's no mention of the trunk lock anywhere. Thanks again.
