Scraping Motor on Floor/ B16A in HB
Like it says, I have a B16 in 89 HB. I have Ground Control Coilovers with Tokico Blue. I have a two finger gap with stock 14's all around. The ride is nice and smooth but if there is a dip on the freeway, I rub/scrape the motor on the ground. I now have an oil leak somewhere. Is this only because of the springs? Anyone know the spring rate on Ground Controls? If it is the springs, anyone know where to get replacements for just the springs so this doesn't happen anymore? Searched, found nothing....
i would say youre best bet is to call ground control and see if they can sell you just some springs for the front.
and talk to someone at GC and find out what spring rates would suit you best.
and what kind of mounts did you use?

I have the hasport kit. The car is already pretty high. I don't think that this would be happening if the springs didn't have so much play. I got two/three fingers all the way around. I really do not want to mess with the height because it's set to where the camber is perfect (no unneeded wear). I was hoping to get springs the same height that I guess are stiffer. I was reluctant to call GC but I will probably have to.
Here in SD, one of the freeways was built on a landfill, so it's sinking resulting in huge dips. I know you said that to be sarcastic but here it's actually true.

do you know what spring rate the springs are on the front?
looks like you need to get some stiffer springs in the front. make sure to get some stiffer ones in the rear so you don't have too much understeer.

Thanks all for the input. I am probably going to get new springs or coilovers. I had Skunks and Tok Blues in my Eg and the ride wasn't so bad. I'll probably get those again. Thanks again for the help.
