I'd like to turn my foglights into turn signals. LOL. Gurus enter.
Ok, I may be crazy but I have a plan.
I have a DC2. I have "deleted" my front turn signals. So what I am wanting to do is buy an OEM foglight kit and turn them into my parking lights + turn signals. I would like to utilize the OEM plug & play harness as much as possible, I will hack into it if need be. I don't want to use the foglight switch. I want to use my stock light control. IE: one turn cuts on my fogs on (to be used as parking lights), moving the lever itself up/down for turn signals. Last stipulation, I need the turn signals and parking lights to work in conjuction.
If this didn't make sense, I'm sorry tell me what I need to clarify. I'm in a hurry to run out the door but I need this situation remedied as I have no front signals or parking lights.
Regards,
Jeremy

Is there a law that requires turn signal are visible from the side? If so, you might want to make sure you have side markers and have them flash with your signals too.
i dont think its required that turn signals are visible from the side here in the states.
and if i am correct, the sidelight (tiny 194 bulb) in the bumper signals of 98-01 integras don't even blink anyway so he shouldn't have any probs with the law regarding signals seen from the side.

the blinkers have to be visible from front and back. parking lights have to be visible from front, back and sides.

you can do it easy and just run the fog lights off the factory parking/turn signal light wiring...would work the same as they would and would minimize wiring complications.
HGZ hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what I need. Now I have to figure out how to accomplish it!
I thought of this but my concerns are:
1) is the power supply going to be adequate for the fogs, since they are H3 bulbs as opposed to the lower wattage bulbs used in the parking/turn lights?
2) the foglights use one H3 bulb (2 wires) as opposed to the 2 smaller bulbs (4 wires) in the stock turn signal/parking light. I am afraid they won't wire up correctly.
I didn't want to buy the fogs and do it by trial and error. I wanted to get some input before I bought them. I appreciate your help guys. I mean theoretically it should be as simple as Jas said but when it seems to easy it usually is. Or at least in my case. :p

yeah i wouldnt try wiring the fogs to run directly off the signal wires. it will probably be much safer to use relays. one for each fog light so they can be activated individually.
then to get the blinkers to blink right when the fogs/parking lights are either on or off, you might need to get one of those trailer stop/tail/turn converter box things - those little boxes that allow you to wire up taillights so that they act as brake (in your case fog/parking) and turn (your signal blink) - bout $15 from pep boys
if you get this to work you need to post video!

Hope this link helps. Look at the turn signal section.

^nice info in that link regarding legal lighting, but..
what a crock!!!
i would like to know the specific reasons why this is

Damn. I might just bite the bullet and buy them. Trial and error makes me angry.
I'm sure I could at least wire up the parking light to the fogs until I figure out the blinker issue.
More input plz.
