Default Stage 1 or stage 2 cams decision?

Hey guys i can't help in deciding getting blox stage 1 or blox stage 2 cams. In a bit of dilemma. I have a stock b16a2. It has ctr piston. 2 layer gasket. Approximate 11.0 compression. Which cams is more suited 4 my engine set up? Stage 1 or 2? I read tat 4 stage 2 u need at 11.4

Yea i do. Bloxvalvespring with supertech retainers. Since i'm still at 11.0 compression. Would it be wise using stage 1 or 2? I'm not planning to increase any compression or changing to b18 block. So help any1?

go with the stage 2. You would get the stage 1 and wish you wouldve gotten the 2. And you have springs and retainers so you should be all good.

Do i actually get more power running stage 2 compare to stage 1 at 11.0 compression?

in theory.

it will depend on the tuning among other things. the way i would look at it, stage 2 (or i think they call it "B spec"...) should allow for more power. because of you're upgraded valvetrain, you're not constrained to the stage 1.

your compression should be around 11.8:1 because CTR pistons stick out the hole 0.010". for the cams what to do more? daily driver/auto x or drag race? stage1's for daily/auto x and stage2's for drag.

Gutted wat do u mean, ctr piston stick out the hole? Newbie here hehe. So ur saying i need 11.8 compression to run stage 2. I'm more on daily driven. Less on track n never in drag. I guess stage 1 is good with v.spring n retainer. I can't seem to find type r valvetrain so going aftermarket would be simple. Spec C in a b16. Tat s a big NO
