Default need some input and help on new build

******this is not a how much hp thread i just want suggestions for my build, if i put down 170 at the wheels i dont care that much***********

95 civic cx

Im working on a replacement for my ls/vtec that currently runs strong i just decided to try a different route.

95 gsr block rebuilt about 10k miles ago with usdm type r pistons.
stock oem head gasket
2000 itr cams
2000 gsr head that im going to have cleaned and have a valve job done on and replace any worn parts
aebs intake manifold
hondata gasket
stock gsr tb
i just bought the new lma spring style for the head
type r/gsr oil pump
type r/gsr water pump
super tech dual valve springs and the aluminum retainers with special keys
supertech flat face race valves
stock cam gears
usdm itr crank pulley
moroso street pan with baffle
intake/hytech copy header/ 2.5 test pipe to exhaust.
stock fuel pump
stock injectors
0bd1 crome basemap from phearable

now once the motor is together and running to where im comfortable that its a stable dd motor im getting rid of my lsvtec converted stock b18b block that has type r water and oil pumps and the golden eagle kit on it.

once the motor breaks in and feels strong i would like to maybe go with a bigger set of cams and was thinking of something along the lines of a blox competition b or a skunk2 stg 2?

any suggestions on injectors and fuel pump for the setup im currently going to run once the work is done on the head? am i pushing it with the 11.1-3 compression with stock injectors?

fyi i run 93 octane as well.

Thank you for your much needed opinions

if you put down 170 whp, stock injectors are plenty. If you want to know when you should upgrade your injectors, wait until your tuning system says you're running out of injector (you'll have a ways to go). As for cams, considering Blox B's are a copy of the S2S2's, it doesn't really matter which profile you choose. If you're still running the stock CX fuel pump, I'd upgrade it to a 190lph unit just for good measure.

you can get one of those and boost your fuel pressure if needed to get a little more distance out of your stock injectors, if required.

Ok so I finally got everything I needed (190 pump, aem wideband, lma finally showed up etc), I'm getting ready to go to the machine shop and have them to do some work on the head. I may possibly if I can get a decent deal have them do a basic port and polish but not sure yet.

A couple more questions, like I said im going to run the car with itr cams just initially to make sure everything is running properly and broken in etc. . I will then go with a bigger set of cams, the problem is I have been reading and using the fuked up search engine that just directs me to for sale posts for the most part and im kind of undecided about camshafts. I was looking at Blox competition b's and c's but thought I may not have enough compression(11.1 - 11.3 range) to run the c's.Which would leave the competition b's as the choice. It seems the competition cams have wider lobes contacting more of the rockers arms? This seems like a good thing instead of wearing in one spot on the rocker arm like I have seen before?

Anyone have better suggestions for a camshaft for my setup?

Thanks guys, I know it has been asked 1 million times but I miss my old honda-tech where I could search and actually find what I was looking for without it taking 2 hrs.

You do know that with the advanced search option you can limit the extent of your search. i.e., Just the forums and not the marketplace. I had the same issue until I started using the advanced search feature.

no point of getting cam if you're not going to get cam gear and have it tune. You should look into that.

Heres a roundabout guide by a well known tuner in the central FL area. Russ Collins also has some good books about determining your fuel system requirements by the application/power for EFI.

yes i have used advanced search still not happy with it, yes obviously i will get cam gears never said i wasnt figured that was a given.

i got the 190 walbro, i dont think i will be seeing 200whp but if thats the case i can add 310's which i will determine once i have it tuned. all my chips have been from vega "phearable" i already have a basemap for my setup from him.

basically just wondering about the cam at this point, b's or c's im leaning towards the b's currently since they are close to sks2

thanks for diagram

i might go to tampa to phearable but its a far drive and the cost of tuning i need to check out since their are some ok tuners in orlando

for your setup I would stick with blox b cam for the best performance.
