Evolution Suspension is probably one of the better places to get motorcycle suspension work. http://www.evolutionsuspension.com/pricing/

Had my bike dialed in there and they got it done quick (about 20min)

I wouldnt buy a lowering link, just have the suspension adjusted properly and I think you will be happy. The bike can be lowered a little with some simple adjustments

You can do it yourself for a basic setup. I'll try to find some suspension setup links, I know motorcyclist or sportrider had a great writeup online.

i dont think you can change the height by much from the factory adjustustment. i believe the rear "coilover" is mainly used for load/preload of the rear. just get lowering links. as long as you dont go more than 1.5" you wont throw off your handling. i lowered my 08 r6 and i love it. GL

well no it will. If you are dead set on lowering versus possibly just getting used to it make sure to also drop your front forks.

if you must lower it, get a lowering link for the rear and loosen your triples in the front and slide the forks up.

the whole job can be done in 30 minutes or less if you have any mechanical knowledge.

for the rear

http://www.600rr.net/vb/showthread.php?t=65422

for the front

its literally loosening all your 12mm bolts on your fork triples and gently letting the weight of the bike drop until you get the height you desire. the front is the easy part, can be done in 5 minutes.

Saw a Honda just like that @ the SCC Meet @ Hooters in Campbell, last Weds. Some short Asian girl was ridin' it. That bike was way tooooooooooooo low. Performance of handling is just gonna be F*#Ked on that bike. She was'nt even wearing gear. OK, other than helmet and gloves. No: jacket, knee guards, boots, etc.

You do not want to lower your rear spring height to lower the bike it will handle terrible. Just buy a lowering link and lower the forks the 1" or 2" you need then adjust the suspension to your weight and it will ride great.

Since you don't really care that much about handling, why don't you consider a different class of motorcycle?

there's a really short korean looking chick that attends the local hooters bike night who used to ride a buell blast. she could handle the bike surprisingly well. however at some point, she decided to fore go the whole 'ride a somewhat well sized bike' idea and plunked down the cash to buy a brand-new 1000rr. in order to be able to tip-toe the bike, she had it lowered at least 4" or so. it now scrapes the exahust going over the slightest of bumps and corners, so it is basically worthless as a sportbike. to make things worse, it's still too tall and heavy for her. she dropped it while waiting to make a left-turn into the hooters parking lot last week, right in front of her retarded squid friends that pressured her into getting the stupid bike.

i'm gonna try to get some pictures this week... her sister is one of the hooters girls. lol.

well the point is im oonly going to lower it atleast an inch from the stock heigh, i just want to be able to touch ground flat.. i got some friends thats been riding for years and going to tracks here in Seca Monterey..i told them bout lowering the bike and they said it shouldnt be a problem since its only an inch.If i lower it to 3inch then thats a different story..if u compare the stock height of cbr600rr to a gsx1000 ther the same..
