Rubbing noise still being made
When I make a hard left turn it makes a rubbing noise and starts to lock up my steering, and then is fine after I complete the turn. I first thought it was the tires rubbing but they are in perfect condition, then I was told it was the cv boot but they were replaced and it still makes the noise.
The last thing I was told was that it is a bad seal in the tranny. Anyone else have this problem. If so how much am I looking at spending. Thanks.

I am assuming that when you checked the tires you also checked the inner fender liners. Have you checked you tierods? Do you have aftermarket rims, if you do are they the right offset? Does it only happen when you turn left, or does it happen when you turn right?

Need an answer on this too... My car is doing the exact same thing and it is driving me nuts!
This is what i've replaced...
all bushings
lower ball joints
steering rack
inner/outer tie rods
wheels/tires
Still i have this noise...it's like something rotating is banging either in the suspension/wheels area or around the axels. It only happens when i make a hard left turn...not right!!!
Please help...I'm hoping 90-CRXSi got this figured out and can help me before i spend more money on it

I am not letting this topic go untill i figure out what the heck it is. I've spent more time and money on this problem then on all the work done to my car combined! Maybe i'm overlooking something simple or maybe i have a bigger problem. One thing that could have to do with it...my passenger side tranny/axel seal leaks slowely...is there any part that could be worn in that area that would make noises only when passenger side wheel is under load (ie. pushed up into the fender well?)?
Please...for the love of EF's

Just got my car aligned today and i have lowering springs on GR-2 shocks. Paper says my front right wheel has -2.7 deg camber...would this be causing it? Is that a lot of negative camber???

i think its the axle itself, cv boots are probably blown. i have the same problem when i make hard right turns but i'm too lazy to change them
