ok, well i dont want any smart *** answers, but im not femiliar with the b20 engine,


we bought a integra with the b20 which i now swapped into a civic95 ex,

its non vtec, the engine has to have something aftermarket done to it which i need your help figuring out,

stamp says b20b and then it has a circle and some name ??

it revs and makes power to about 8k, i know what overrevving is and it just wanted to go farther, when floored in 1-2 theres almost no traction !

could there be a cam ?? or ??

 

The only way anyone could tell you anything is by taking it apart or using a crystal ball. Since this is the internet and we can't visually inspect it, we'll have to use a crystal ball (which we know isn't possible).

well i mean, if it runs it must be built/put together.

theres really no easy way to tell.

what is the name next to the stamp? is this on the head? because it sounds like it either has a ported head, or your looking at the factory head stamping.

you have to keep in mind is a truck 2L motor meant to make torque to move a much heavier car, so in such a light chassis, it could legitimately just be that fast.

the marking is next to engine code, and what im saying is in the heavy da integra it was hella quick compared to others i have been in !

ok let me refer this question, is thee a camshaft aftermarket for the b20b ?

also these motors dont red to 8k inless ur really overrevving it, and this revs up to that in seconds and makes power !

 

stamp i'm gonna guess has "hmo" in the circle.

i thought that a HMO in a circle next to the block code ment it was from hmotorsonline.com but that doesnt prove its built or not

i have a bone stock b20b motor in a 93 ex coupe. mine revs to 7k happily and i can spin 1-3.....8k sounds a little pushy

 

who cares just drive it
