Got a friend looking to buy an EP3 typeR~ we are currently at Sydney btw, and seems some dodgy EP3 Si change their speedo and front seat to typeR ones as Si and typeR look pretty much da same..and so we wanna make sure we dont get scammed ><

How to make sure its an EP3 typeR and not EP3 Si or EP3 SiR?


Can EP3 owner please tell me when in first, second gear and third gear @ 4000 rev, wat speed you are travelling?vtec switch over at 6000rpm as well?thanks

also EP3 typeR's comes with brembo brake or?? i noticed one of the EP3 typeR that i checked has front brake calipper with typeR written on it, is that the standard EP3 typeR brake calipper?

if the chasis plate has LA-EP3 then its likely its an typeR? or EP3 Si can have LA-EP3 chasis code too?

also would it be possible to see the tranny code on a ep3 typeR?
like dc2r would have S80-LSD and ek9 with S4C-LSD


and where about would the K20A stamped on the engine? some pic would help alot thx! if K20A3 is stamped..meaning its Si?

EP3 Type Rs do not come with Brembo calipers. They use brakes nearly identical to the US RSX S. Cast iron single piston calipers with "Type R" cast into them as you say.

The engine should be stamped K20A and it should rev to 8000+.
