Default painting my integra

i drive an 2000 acura integra and am going to paint it...some of the paint is peeling off the car so i need to get the paint job... i am going to paint it the same color...i was wondering if the shop is going to have the sand the car beforehand because of the peeling pain...or can they jus paint it...i was told it costs more to have it sanded first...also anyone know how much they charge on average for such a job?

regardless if the paint on the car is in perfect condition it still has to be sanded. as long as there is no body work needed like dents or rust then there wont be any extra costs and yes check the autobody forum and do a search on painting cars to get an idea on what involved and so u dont sound like an idiot when you go to the body shop.
