Default P28 auto/manual????'s

what is the difference between the auto and manual models of the p28 ecu?
me and Forcfedcivic are dropping a z6 in my eg and the only p28s that I can find in my area that are reasonably priced are the auto ecus. I have a manual
will the auto ecu work or will it pop some codes or something?

I would get more info from others on this, but supposedly you can get the auto and make some changes to it switch it to manual. If you can find manual though get that, would mean no fiddling inside. I dont know how to do the auto ecu to manual, but i'm sure someone mentioned you could, i was asking something similar a week or so ago.

Well ive been through with it, acutally i had a d16z6 swap with a manual computer on an automatic tranny. Well it just wont work for u in the long run, for me i couldnt idle too long i had to put the auto tran in neutral at stops when hot. Im assuming that your situation would be the same as mines in a different way. Im positive 100% you should go with the standard ecu.

you would have to have the ecu sent out and converted to manual... which would cost like $50 i think? i remember having the same questions when i did my z6 swap in my old crx back in may. i think the fuel curves might be different.. or i might be imagining things. also the revlimiter is set different, has automatic shift points...( which is why i think the rev limiter comes in earlier... stops reving b/c it is supposed to be shifting?) just shell out the damn cash and buy a manual one.... only should be like $150 shipped.... post in the classifieds on here..
