Traction bars a good idea for an all motor car?
I asked this ? in the suspension forum but got no help.
My neighbors with a mildly built all motor 00 GSR were asking me if traction bars were worth the money and labor. Its a pretty decent build making around 195whp and 130 ft.tq. IIRC. They were wondering if it would be safe, reliable and legal on a daily driven vehicle that is driven pretty hard on weekends. Would premature axle breakage become more of a headache if the traction bars are installed, or is the money better spent on other suspension mods. So far its got stock struts w/ eibach pro springs, prothane motor mount inserts and energy suspension torque strut mount inserts.

traction bars are def worth the money ! On a street car they're great because they help with wheel hop. If its a track car and you got slicks they're not as crucial because the slicks absorb a lot of the shock.
Yes traction bars are worth the money and will benefit your neighbors car. They take no more then about an hour to do and if on a lift less.
