Best bike to convert to to street fighter.
After a 8 or so years of owning and driving Honda cars, tuning and doing engine swaps, I've decided to come over to the other side.
Honda offers a plethora of motorcycles in many different styles and price ranges. My budget is approximately $4500 - $5000 CDN.
I really like the street fighter look and I have the experience with cars and mechanical skills to do it. But not having owned a bike in the past, I have no idea what to look for in a bike that makes it a good candidate to become a street fighter.
I'd like something in a sporty/road class with 600cc power.
Any suggestions?

Any sportbike will become more comfortable and sensible for street riding if you remove the fairings and put some bars and rearsets on it.
Or just buy a factory fighter style bike, such as an SV650, SV1000, kawi Z1000, honda CB599 or the CB919

if this is your first bike and your interested in 600ccs and a great platform for a streetfighter my list goes like this,
1. 600rr
2. f4i
3. daytona 675
4. sv650
all four have plenty of options and tons of interchangeable parts.
if you want more info on fighters, come over to customfighters.com, thats what we specialize in, lol.

everybody crashes, especially new riders on 600+ cc bikes.
and the best platform for a 'fighter is something mechanically sound, and cosmetically trashed.
personally, I think you should start smaller than a 600cc I4, i think a sv650 is a better choice, but that's just me.
