Tonight when i was driving home i had 3 dots left on my gas gauge so i pulled over to get gas and my car halfway shut off while i was driving. the engine kept going but my radio and everything on that section of the dash momentarily shut off. I just shrugged it off and pulled into the BP station filled up no problem, then drove off. After about a mile i looked down and my gas guage still said 3 dots in my tank, so i shut my car off and started it again 2 or 3 times and it still said 3 dots. I went back to the the station and they said that from what they could see i got a full tank but if my gauge didnt go back up to come back. I finally arrived at home and disconnected the negative side of my battery for about a minute then reconnected it and the guage now reads full.

My question is has anyone else had problems with there gas gauge/gas level reader thingy?

Sounds like more of an electrical problem with the dashboard/wiring than specifically with the fuel system itself.

Do you have an aftermarket radio or alarm system?

 

No my car is completely stock i havnt done anything to any part of it cuz i didnt want anything to happen, but now that my car is kinda going wacky its almost ironic lol.

Its been acting normal today but i only drove it for about 25 minutes so idk well see.
