I just brought a 96 ex coupe with 99 si door. the power windows work just fine.. but my door lock doesnt work.. is there a different harness use for the two.. what do i need to resolved this issue beside getting some new 96-98 door..

 

are you positive the doors are 99? and if they are, the easiest fix that i see would be to swap your floor harness to a 99-00.

you need the lock control unit to control the door locks.. on 96-98 its in the drivers side door, behind the panel. 99-00 its behind the fuse box kind of. they're usually blue or gray.

 

is there any way i can just wired up the door lock myself to my alarm or to the car. i really just need the driverside.. anyone got a diagram of the wire i mean i should be able to just wire something straight to the door aucctor(how ever you spell it)

The window should work, but for the lock it shouldn't work cause your missing the door lock relay.

96-98 the lock relay is located in the drivers door. 99-00 the relay is located in the drivers kick panel.

simple soultion would be get a door harness and relay from the same yr as your coupe.
start with the driver side first. possible passenger side might be the same.

it's not worth changing the floor harness considering 99-00 is totally different from 98 and older.
