Default VIBRANT CATLESS HEADER INSTALLED!

Just had my Vibrant catless header installed to go along with a HKS Sport Ti catback exhaust. Quality was great but the install took some time and we had to cut a small piece of the closest hanger down so it would not rub on the sway bar. Sound is not to loud and the performance has been greatly enhanced. No engine lights yet as I used a double length
defouler. Good quality bolt ons with increased power!

Yes there is a significant increase in power. The exhaust and header is deffinitly louder than stock, but not by much. Here in Calif. you don't want the attention of local police or CHP.
A great upgrade.

Just installed the Vibrant Race Header on my 07 si sedan @ King Motorsports last night... First mod besides K&N filter! Overall I got 11 WHP outta it... and the only place it lost power was under 2000k rpms... She needs more AIR!

Well after driving it a whole day, it actually did throw a code for the secondary O2 sensor. This is with an Omni Power bung installed to take the secondary O2 sensor out of the direct exhaust stream. Cleared the code and so far its been good. The guys at King, said this rarely happens and is probably the 2nd time they have seen our cars throw a code like that in this kind of situation.

I'e used two o2 sensor bungs and both have failed. The first was a short unit and the next was the Strup angled unit. I wonder whether your smight be the answer? I have rattles that the dealer needs to fix , yet I can't take it to the dealer with the CEL light on. My unit stays clear for about 24 hrs. Help!

I'm still up in the air as to whether I'm going to get the Flash Pro unit which would eliminate this problem.

Flashpro will eliminate the problem, but if you live in CA and have the vehicle registered in CA, I am not sure how smart it would be to take it to a dealer with an aftermarket header and no cat. At a minimum, they will note that you had removed the stock exhaust and cat from the vehicle. If ever you take the car back for an engine issue, your likely going to be screwed. I am familiar with the Magnuson act and the bottom line is the engine is designed to operate with a cat. Taking the car to a dealer without the cat could put at risk any warranty work on the engine you might need in the future.

After talking to Sean at Churches, I've decided to go with the Flash Pro. As far as the dealer, I'm at 26,000 miles and use my own mechanic. Hopefully nothing significant will happen to the motor and I will be able to avoid the dealer. The only problems I've had with my car are various rattles. When I have to re-smog, I'll re-install the stock exhaust, reflash
to stock, pass the smog and re-install exhaust and reflash. Alot of work, but the car drives great!

Awesome to hear that you like the headers. Some people have had some minor issues with the install and others haven't.

Regardless would love to see some pics of you car?
