Cranks, no start
99 LS
No engine mods
Basslink and old Viper alarm with immobilizer, Ignition Kill relay cut and rewired main ignition wire.
So the story is, I was pulling out spark wire #1 and pulled out spark wire #2 without putting back wire #1 first. I plugged wire #1 back in and then as I was putting wire #2 back in, the engine cuts out. Car only clicked when I turned the key, and I got the car to start after replacing:
Dizzy Cap and Rotor
Ignition Coil
and then cutting the ignition kill relay.
I turned off the car and turned it back on 3-5 times afterward but I didn't drive it anywhere. And the next morning, the car only cranks. I jump started the car and it started up fine.
Drove it a few houses away (80-100 feet?) and the engine cuts out and I tried to start it again while it was still moving at 30mph. Starts, rpms jumped to 2k and died. I pulled over and tried to jump start again but it didnt work. Pushed it back to my house.
Battery measures 13.XX while the car is off. XX is jumping numbers.
I have a new starter from the previous tries, should I install to see if it'll work?

my da did this exact thing after the same service
turns out a piece of the casting on the cap (oem honda) broke off, and it got crushed between the rotor shaft and the ignitor mod.
try replacing the ignitor with a KNOWN working condition one
auto zone ignitors suck, i used to work there, if thats where you got it, take that piece of **** back and go buy one from honda, every ignitor i ever sold for a b series motor came back, just an fyi
post back and let me know what the prob was
