Default ***HELP - CEL code is solid???***

Hi guys, I just bought a 5 speed 1991 Accord and I was trying to troubleshoot what causes my Check Engine Light to come on. When I shorted the service cable underneath the passanger kickboard my CEL light just stayed on. Im confused because I thought it was supposed to blink in sequence for a code. Anyone knows what this means?

I was able to find out my code. The only way it pulled up is if I had the engine running with the check engine light already on, then I jumped the service connector and it gave me code 17, Vehicle Speed Sensor. Piece of cake!

Just to let you know for future reference. If you use the SCS connector short method to read codes and the CEL stays solid. That indicates that there are no codes stored on the ECU at that time.
