Default OK, stupid question, but anybody tried a Tornado?

hey guys

you know those Tornado devices you see advertised on late night TV? The fit into your intake and apparently create
more "swirl" or something in your intake charge; supposedly good for a few ponies and better gas mileage. Has anyone
tried one of these out? I mean, looks like a load of BS, but you never know, could be a cheap way to an extra 3-5HP.

One of the magazines (cant remeber what one, I think it was import tuner) did a test on these things a while ago. They acually ended up losing about 3-5hp. And that was with the owner of the company setting up the product if I remeber right. Anyway, yeah, basicly all it does is get in the way of incoming air in your intake.

Only about 30 threads on this already...

They DON'T work...and end up hurting the HP in the upper RPM range b/c the fan can't keep up w/ the intake flow and end up restricting it.

sorry, I forgot to mention that I did check out the archived posts. It was almost all negative, but, if I am not
mistaken, it was virtually all 3rd party information. Anyways, this doesn't actually seem to fit the theme of
the forum, so sorry to bring it up again. I will repost on http://www.asadvertisedonTVisitcraporwhat?.com

thanks

greg v

P.S. Anybody tried Z-Max? (JK!)
