Default Hit and run in Vegas

Took my hatch to Las Vegas this past weekend. Self parked in the parking structure and checked in for the night. In the morning came out and half of my bumper was laying on the ground. By the looks of the pictures, you can tell that I reversed parked and some truck or SUV backed into it (you can see the tire marks on my bumper as it "climbed" on my car). Motherf*cker didn't leave a note. I had to lift up my bumper with a rope and support it from my strut bar. Tired of others banging up my car. I never hit anything, everything seem to wanna hit me.

That really sucks. I'm sorry to hear.

That same thing happened to me in my apt lot. The Hit and Run people tried to clean up the mess, but they left a small part of their tail light on the ground. I was able to match it up with another car in the lot. When the cops came he looked up the license plate and went to talk to the people. He told me that if they did not admit it, then nothing could be done. He told me he went to talk to her and basically fronted as if he knew that it was her. She told him everything - how she was drunk, and her boyfriend that had warrents out was in the car. It rocked for me! Her insurance (wich was also mine) paid for it all. And plus the cop wrote on the report that she admintted to being drunk and driving. The best part about it was that I bent the bumper out and you could hardly tell. So I never had to get anything replaced. I have a pic somewhere that looks just like yours ... but no chipped paint.

Best of luck getting it fixed.

My headlight has scuff marks on them. I don't think I can get them off. My bumper is a total goner. My lip seems untouched.

I valeted parked everytime I was there, but only one time when they were too busy, I self parked...what are the odds of that?! They would have covered this if it was valeted.

My buddies and I stayed at Tresure Island. I didn't gamble much, only spent $40 bux after this incident to get my mind of things and went up to $250. I was pretty down so I went all out and losted all my winnings, so I just lost $40. It was pretty fun in Vegas, I really tried not to let this incident be a buzz kill.

I don't have 2 way insurance, but I will soon. But even if I did, the damage is less than $500 and wouldn't be worth it anyway.

Damn that sucks. Someone backed into my rear bumper but it was not as bad as yours. 2 times my buddy's civic was hit when it was parked and both times they left a note. Good people there in San Luis Obispo.

Ouch. I'm sorry, I hate it when that kinda **** happens.

Something similar happened to me... Went in to Arby's on my lunch break. I parked facing away from the store, walked in and got my food to go, and when I came back out I stared at my rear bumper for a second and then noticed that what I was staring at was a big huge mar in the paint. Upon closer inspection revealed dark green paint chips... same color as the ford contour that was pulling out of the parking lot when I stepped out of the resteraunt. I tried to follow but I she must've turned off on some side street or something, cause I never did find the car.

sorry, i didn't mean too.

sucks... but, i NEVER park backwards anywhere. It's FAR easier to replace rear bumpers than front bumpers (considering that most accidents occur head-on).

best of luck
