what you guys think about that welder for a person that never welded before. also hows the price for that kit.
what i plan on using this welder for is mostly for exhaust piping. i dont want to get sometihng that is barely good enough for exhaust piping. want to leave me some room if i plan on doing anything bigger

Go to a local welding shop with good customer service.
The Homdepots and Lowes buy them in bulk and are probably not the same welders sold at independent dealers. (poorer quality)
You will probably spend 50$ more at a local dealer. But if they have good service they will work with you and help you get the right product.
Like chain saws there is a reason you cannot buy a Stihl at the big stores

I agree. shop around at your local welding shops and let them know what your looking for and how much you want to spend.
You'll need them for consumables anyway so give them a chance to earn your business. However, I will say that I have a lincoln pro mig and it's dead reliable. Had my for years and works flawlessly every time.

if you get it, ditch the faceguard and buy something with a head strap. I'm a noob welder too and trust me... the last thing you want to worry about is having to hold that darn thing with one hand while you're welding with the other.
This is cheap, yet will save you lots of frustration.
