BLOX tuner series FULL coilovers
I know everyone is goin to tell me to go with GC/Yellows but was just wondering if anyone has experiences with these coilovers.
Are these the type that you can adjust height without messing with preload?

I've never had these high end coilovers before and was wondering how do you adjust the height without messing with preload? Are you suppose to turn the mounting leg then use the two smaller collars to lock it in place cuz I really don't see how just turning the two smaller collars can lower or raise the car.
Those coilovers can be adjusted without messing with preload. What I did on my EF was preload them once prior to initial installation. After that, you don't have to mess with the preload stuff. Just loosen the 2 lower lock collars and rotate the collar clockwise to lower the vehicle and counter-clockwise to raise the vehicle. Once you like your height adjustments, you can simply lock both lock collars into place. Easy stuff.
In terms of overall quality, they are pretty similar to the omni power street full coilovers. I personally love the way my car rides with these coilovers. Good luck.

you only turn the orange part that attaches to the front forks and rear lca .. like you turn the whole orange part and its goes up and down because the shock body is threaded as well as the orange part. hope this helps.

these are basically exact copies of the omni coilovers, which ive used on 2 cars with no problems
technically, no he should not do that. 1. it eliminates the preload feature. 2. is doesnt sound safe because there is no way to lock the collar to the strut body. gc coilovers use only one collar but they clamp down using a allen screw. in your friends case, without the strut locked, it is probably putting a lot of wear on the threads, if they strip out his strut could because disconnected from the suspension.

dude, don't mess with that crap. I'm 99% sure that's the same Taiwanese-made anodized garbage sold under the names KSport, D2, and Function & Form.
Shocks will probably start leaking within a year. Spend a little extra and get GC/Koni. The Koni shocks will probably outlast the car, no joke.

keep in mind tho that the saying you get what you pay for is normally true. However Blox coilovers were $700 upon release. the price was probably lowered by almost all the retailers I could find do to weak sales. I bought PiC apexs.

Of course they don't ride perfect all the time. If you go too low they will bottom out like any other suspension. If you get springs that are too soft, the shocks will bottom out if you're low.
Just be smart about it and you'll enjoy a Koni/GC setup for a long time. I sold my GC's because my 450 lb/in rear spring rates were just too stiff for my 100-mile daily commute. I still have the Koni shocks, though, and they're still working great with over 170K miles of use on them.
Wow 450 lb/in rear is too stiff for DD? I thought that was the normal range most DD'ers use. If not.. what would a good front/rear spring rate be for DD'ing if I was to go with the Koni/GC combo?
