k i have the factory gsr header on my car with 2.5 cat and exhaust, is it worth it to get the jdm type r header or not is there that much of a difference

 

Depends what you're trying to accomplish. I personally would go with one of the replica headers on the market for the price. Ground clearance isn't all the great though.

 

not that I know much about headers but I had one and it made a hell of alot of difference not to mention superhonda has an article where they compare it too many headers and it outperforms alot of them and its oem + cheaper!

 

if you can find one use yes id get it, but i wouldn't buy one new. For the 400 you spend on one, it can be put towards something that will make more power for a few more dolalrs

 

k thanks guys this kid is selling one for 150 how do i knwo it is the real oem one and not the knockoff one the sell on ebay

 

not sure how to tell if its real but make sure it doesnt have any cracks or dents, keep an eye at the very bottom where it curves around the oil pan in the car as that area is where many wont clear and bang across a bump!

 

ive never heard of anyone making a knockoff of an OEM type R header, hytech and all yes, but never an OEM one

Not when you can get tri y for cheap. If you are going for all JDM style then keep with the theme and get the header.
