just wondering about this, but the problem is on my sisters 97 accord ex... she has an automatic tranny... and when she puts her car into park, she won't be able to change gears again. she'll have to turn the car off and back on to shift to drive or reverse or whatever... can anyone tell me what is wrong here?

 

when you step on the brake with the key on, do you hear a clicking noise in the shifter? if not,check your stop lite switch, it controls the shift lock.

 

yep, thats the lock solenoid
