98 Prelude - Engine shut off while driving?!
I was driving the other night & my car unexpectedly shut off. It wouldn't start so I had to be towed home. Had plenty of electrical power & it seems the issue is fuel related.
Checked the fuel pump, still working & plenty of gas running through. Checked the spark plugs & replaced the fuel pressure regulator, and MAP sensor. Still will not start. Can't be fuel filter related because plenty of gas was running all the way up to the fuel pressure regulator when I disconnected the hose.
I ran a diagnostics check & came up w/ trouble codes P0108, P0401, P0420
Any thoughts?

didn't try clearing the codes, but i didn't think the car's computer would actually prevent it from being started?
P0108 was an error w/ the MAP sensor, which i replaced.
P0401 & P0420 are problems I've had before, which were solved w/ new O2 sensors, however they never actually prevented the car from running.
i'm afraid that if i clear the codes, i will no longer be able to run a diagnostics check. being that if the car can't run, the computer will not be able to rescan itself
when i try to start, the engine turns and turns, but just doesn't seem to be getting gas?
thanks for the reply, this is very frustrating

your right usually the codes wont inhibit a car from running. did you check and make sure the injectors were firing while you we cranking the engine? I would try resetting the codes tho for the fact that you already know which ones its throwing and when you try starting it again they will probably come back on if they are not resolved
