Last time I checked speakers don't put out any watts
... Well I suppose they could if you used them as a generator LOL. Amplifers put out power, speakers use power to drive magnets and create sound
.
Type-Rs are awesome speakers though, but they typically need quite a bit of power to perform great.
<-- Type R fronts, rears, and sub in the '93 before I sold it running off of 4x75 RMS for insides and 550 RMS for sub. Type R fronts and rears running off of a 4x40 RMS headunit in current car (Grew out of the sub and amps, but still like the speakers).

haha are you serious? speakers are measured on how much watts they are capable of putting out and how big of an amplifier you need. ie if you have two 300 watt speakers, you need at least a 600 watt amp to get the full potential out of the speakers.
This is a misconception... you relly dont need all that much to push the speakers to full capacity... you can use 250 watt and still push them pretty well........ Then again I may be misinformed.... Bump for some bad *** speakers
