Car Shakes at Launch
Hey everyone,
So a few months ago, my car started shaking pretty mildly when launching from first gear. Now, the car shakes fairly heavily when launching from first gear.....While driving, I feel no signs of clutch slippage, but I was wondering if I could attribute this to the throwout bearing? Would buying a clutch replacement kit such as:

solve the problem? I should also mention that I have the notorious third gear grind. Otherwise, would a Z6 transmission bolt up to my Y7 mini-me? Either option would be fairly easy, since the motor is currently out on the rack after a crank pulley mishap.
Or could it be my motor mounts? The motor is mildly built...stage 2 cam, and p29 pistons, I/H and a chipped ECU.
Thanks, and as always, I appreciate any advice anyone can give me!

chances are it is a combo of poor motor mounts and poor suspension, creating wheel hop. it could also be your trans going out too, maybe the counter shaft or input shaft bearings?
At a minimum get the polyurethane motor mount inserts while you have the engine out, see how that helps.
If its still a problem, check your front suspension bushings for wear, and get a stiffer suspension... or a traction bar, but i doubt you need that with a mild na build like that.
And yes a z6 trans will bolt right up, you will want to do that anyways because it has better gearing.
