Default Here's the plan...

Alright, I wanted to get a B16, most people say go for a B18 instead because it has more torque, but I love vtec and I love revving high, so here's what I am planning on doing. I will first get a B16 and drive it stock (more or less) for some time while I save up some more. Then I'll get a B20 block and swap the B16 block for the B20 block. I will then again drive this setup for a while, save up some more again and put a turbo the whole.

What do you guys think? In 2 years or so I should have a very good setup....

why not just drop the b20 in first? It will be a little slower than a b16, but then later you would just have to put the b16 head on instead of switching out the blocks. A b20 with an integra intake manifold and simple bolt ons wouldnt exactly be a slouch by any means. Other than that sounds like a good setup, although b20 turbo would be nice too because of its lower compression.

in my opinion i will slap that B20 first........ u will have a nice torquy engine but not as high reved....... then just get a b16 head wich its going to be easier to find than a B20 by itself..... then u can put a GSR intake manifold and u got a nice fu%^&* engine!

Well, the problem with that is that I need to have the car rewired for the B20 and the rewire it again for when I put on the SIR head. Plus, I can get a good deal on a complete B16 swap, everything from axles to tranny to computer. Then it should be easy to get a B20 block and swap it in. I can't just put a B16 head on the B20 anyways. I need to change the pistons, reprogram the ecu and a bunch of other stuff. Plus, I'd rather get a B16 for a while than a B20. I like to rev my engines high!

I might just end up getting the B16 and turbo it instead of putting the B20 block, or I could do both, but I'm not sure of the order...

id go with the b16 swap first cuz everything is already wired and you have the short ratio tranny....b16 turbo sounds good...thats what i was gunna do
