Default d16z6 in 97 dx w/o harness...

I had my 1997 dx civic w/ b16a swap stolen last november, when i got the shell back the motor was gone, unfortunatly so was the harness, all the way to the ecu.

I just bought a running but wrecked 1994 civic w/ a d16z6, and plan on putting that motor in the 97 body.

I know that easiest way to do this swap would be to use a 97 harness with a obd2a-obd1 jumper harness, but since i don't have the stock engine harness anymore, I'm wondering if there's any way to use the obd1 harness in the 97 body. Since i have a full parts car, i will have any necessary parts.

This doesn't seem to be popular, but is it possible, just thinking it would save me a chunk of change if i didn't have to buy a new harness and jumper harness.

no, don't think you understand. I would like to use the obd1 ecu and harness, so i wouldn't need the jumper harness, connecting it to the gauges and car would be the tricky part.. not harness to ecu, that part would be plug and play.

buy a 35 dollar ebay obd2-obd1 jumper harness for the ecu and u need a jumper harness for the dizzy or u need ur old 97 dizzy only one hole will line up on the head but it works so u dont have to buy a 35 dollar dizzy conversion harness. other then that its plug n play. obd2 injectors or obd1 which ever injector clips i have now. alld and b series are the same
