Icon6 91 Integra engine swap advice please.

I am halfway into a engine swap and have hit a bit of a snag on two things.

1. My book (Haynes) only shows the mounting brackets for the engine hoist on a Legend. Does anyone know where to hook up the chains for an Integra? I mean the mounting location for the sling that then attaches to the cherry Picker.

2. Shift linkage removal. I am having a heck of a time removing the "Spring Pin" holding the Linkage to the Transmission. I was able to retract the covering boot and remove the clip, now all I see is a hole through the connector. Is the pin hollow? I have been banging on this thing with a punch to no success.

I would appreciate any feedback or tips.

Thanks,
Kyter

All I did was put a bolt in the hole by the valve cover on the driver's side and put one side of the chain around it and then did the same thing on the tranny. There is really no specific way to do it. BTW, pick up more on the driver's side to avoid hitting the tranny on the place for the motor mount. As far as the shift linkage, I didnt take the pin out, I just unhooked it from the shifter itself and pulled it out that way.

Definitely take the shift linkage off. It will make it way easier. Just get a 1/4" punch and hammer and get under the car. Then where the linkage comes out of the tranny, your gonna see a little rubber boot. Slide that back towards the tranny. Then there's gonna be a wide but thin c clip if that's what you'd call it idk, but anyway take that off. You can do this with your fingers. Then you will see a 1/4" pin (aka the bitch pin). Now take your punch, hammer and punch it out. Just make sure that you keep it centered so that you don't mushroom it over cuz then its a real pain in the ***... As far as hooking onto the motor to pull it out. i take a chain or a good strap and hook it around the main mount, on the drivers side. Then run it over to where the starter bolts on and hook it there. Just hook the lift kinda close to the timing belt side of the motor and pull it out at an angle... Hope that helps....Good luck!
