Hello, I have a 1990 Accord, stock f22 motor, and lately the oil pressure light starts flashing after I've driven it 10 miles or so... and I have no idea why, if I shut of the engine, and turn it right back on, it usually stays off for another 10 miles... any ideas why. The only variable I see are, that lately the weather has been much warmer than usual, mid-70s to high-80s. when its usually in the 50s-60s... and there is a very slow leak from the drain plug (thanks to jiffy lube). But the oil level was fine every time this has happened.

Please let me know your thought/ ideas.

If your oil level is correct, then pull the sensor out and have it checked, if the sensor is fine, then you got to check the wiring. The sensor might not be getting good ground.

 

I'll try that, is this a pretty common problem? I don't have my hanes manual on me... lol, where is this located, I'm sure I'll find it soon enough though.

 

Nevermind, I used the handy search feature, what a concept right? Ok I'll try that hopefully the next time I drive it, and let you guys know if that helped.
