Default EK 3rd Brake Light Question

suppose you replace your stock spoiler for a duck bill or ctr wing...
the 3rd brake light is no longer on the car correct? because it is mounted to the spoiler?
is there another 3rd brake light to put on so you don't get tickets?

thanks

sorry if its a noob dumb question...just call me a vajayjay

I made my own 3rd brake light using a small strip of red LEDs. I mounted it on the top of the plastic on the hatch. It was easy, clean and functional

This is bad advice. Vehicles manufactured after about 1986 for the Canadian and US markets are mandated to have Centre High Mount Stop Lamps (CHMSL). You are legally required to have a "3rd brake light" in Canada and US.

Yes, there are aftermarket ones available. I saw a post on here a few months ago where someone (an older fellow) did a retrofit onto his hatchback after he replaced the spoiler.

My Erebuni "CTR" wing has the 3rd brake light. Really the main reason I got it opposed to a genuine CTR wing/Spoon duckbill. Fitment is perfect, quality is great.

I'm not sure if these are still available or not, but other members on here have the same spoiler (in the Ek squad, random people, etc.)

The third brake light is a good way to determine if a Mustang is an '85 or '86. That's how I remember the year CHMSLs had to be on cars.
