Icon6 92 CIVIC CX "KEY START PROBLEMS"

Alright guys i'm going to try to explain this the best i can. I'm always lurking these forums they have been of great help for my hatch . Anyways i have a 92 cx 5 speed hatch with the jdm d15b which has never ever given me any problems this motor is amazing. I will say right now that it has nothing to do with my engine but im thinking more of an ignition problem.

For the past few weeks when i tried to start my car it would just be blank nothing no clicks just my pump and acc lights... sort of like when you don't have your clutch in.. then i would move the wheel or something take my foot off the clutch take the key out and try again and it would fire up fine! it was just them random times it wouldn't do anything but when it did crank it ran fine... so that was probably a sign..

Now today my car was key starting fine until i went to get gas came back outside and it wouldn't turn over at all. When i tried to turn over i would hear the "click click click" noise like a dead battery weird huh?? I even had a lady try boosting me at the gas station but still wouldnt fire up.. everything else works though and it bump starts fine doing like 5km/h doesn't take much at all no stalls ether.... all grounds were replaced when i bought the car, starter was replaced, and the battery which should still be fine unless it went faulty.

Right now what im thinking its either
1. ignition switch
2. clutch in switch/button

any advice?

just wondering, when the car is on, does it run fine? doesn't shut down on you right?

im thinking... main relay... because my car had problems like that a while back.

Two problems:
1) Intermittently bad starter switch at top of clutch pedal
2) A bad starter or low battery.

Nope it doesn't shutdown, no stalls, idles around 500rpm but i will get that occasional bogging like it wants more gas usually only when there's more weight in the car and my rpms are below 2k when in 4th or 5th

sorry another question, does this key start problem occur more often when you start the car when the engine isn't cold?

Well this morning when i went out, it was cold and she started up fine, drove about 200km parked came back half hour later and she started up again, went to a tim hortons came out tried to turn the key over and i didnt even get a crank but eventually after a few trys of pushing the clutch in & out taking the key out putting it back in, she started but there seemed to be a little bit of delay when the key was fully turned but she fired.

Have you ever replaced the main relay in your vehicle? It might be the culprit, especially now that it's getting warmer out: http://autorepair.about.com/od/engin..._hot_start.htm ; http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/start...html#mainrelay

i`ve replaced alot of the ignition harnesses, that run from the switch to the wire harness. also check the clutch switch and your main relay . i`ve replaced 4 main relays since it`s gotten warmer here in TN.

Nope I haven't changed the Main Relay yet, but would my pump still prime if it was bad? I checked my engine codes today i'm throwing a CODE 12 EGR (explains the sluggishness lately) but still doesn't explain that clicking noise when i turn the key and no crank of the engine...
