Need Help::JDM B18C swap issues
have a 98 gsr and blew the motor..got a JDM gsr motor with a skunk2 Intake Manifold..and while im swapping parts and the harness over. I notice that the B18C doesn't have a crank sensor, IABS butterfly thingy, and v-tec oil pressure switch. I've done swaps on many other cars either than honda/acura's and cars dont start without the crank sensor.
with using my stock obd2 p72 would the car still run.
also. i put the USDM vtec solenoid on so i can plug up the vtec oil pressure sensor.
need to know if the car will start and what i should do in order for it to run fine with no CELs

What obd is the jdm motor?
IABs would be removed when the intake manifold was swapped.
I don't know if it would run w/ an obd2 p72, but I would definitely recommend getting a chipped obd1 ecu so it can be tuned for the skunk2 im.

obd2 ready engine, took the crank pulley and cover off and seen that the jdm engines dont have crank sensors at all.

Why don't you just switch everything from your blown motor over to this one. Pretty much converting your JDM to USDM. It should be plug and play with no cel.
You can swap over the old oil pump (if it's still good) or buy a new usdm obd2 one.
Or you can do this... http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm

car runs. CEL was on tho and the Cat. Conv. was bright red (pretty scary) im assuming dumping too much gas?? would a chipped obd1 p28 or jdm p72 ecu fix this problem?
Code 07 (tps low voltage) thats the only thing that came up after diagnosing

bump for help..
also did that bypass trick for the Crank sensor. guess it worked since it didnt come up on the machine.
really dont want to risk the cat. catchin on fire.

what the hell are you bumping for? glowing cats tell you one of a couple of things. one. you're dumping fuel and it's lighting up in the exhaust or two, the timing is off and unburned fuel is going out the exhaust valves lighting up in the cat. get your pyrometer and check temps on the header and at the cat. if the cat is a good deal hotter it's telling you what i just did. why are you cracker assing this together anyway? if you used the correct ecu for this engine or done the conversion for a usdm ecu correctly you would have no issues.
bumping cause i want fast help and thread was in 2nd page. cracker assing because i didn't hook up the CFK sensor? come on bro get real. Ran fine, the cat was glowing so i asked what could be the problem..had a bad day or somethin? its my thread i can bump or ask whatever i want.
i've put many cars together bro. i have a problem. i want to know what the problem is so i can have a solution.thanks for your help. wish you weren't a dick about it tho.
