Fuuuuuu Electrical problem ?
Okay well after I installed a header I wanted to make my engine bay look good and I powerwashed it with water of course. bad ****ing idea ! now here are my symptoms:
The battery does not charge.
The power dies once the lights are turned on.
The light flicker on and off.
I'm getting no signs of a bad alternator (brake light, oil light, battery light dont go on)
The RPM and MPH gauges dont work.
What could be the deal ? I'm taking it to an electrician and my friend installed another alternator and I got the same deal.

sounds like you fried a couple things. First things first, check all your fuses and relay.
Second, a bad alternator is not determined by lights dimming or battery lights flickering...it is determined by checking the voltage. If you do not know how to do this, take your car to a mechanic.
Also, an electrician is not the answer...an auto mechanic who knows car electrical systems is, but you mgiht be wasting money if you don't check the simple stuff first
. Most of the equipment under the hood can handle a little water, no problem. The most important thing that you do not want to get wet, is your distributor.
I've washed many engines and normally the only problem I will see is a CEL that will come on for a little while, and then go away when the engine is completely dry and warmed up.
Anyway, back to basics. Check all your fuses and relays, both under the hood, and under the dash on the driver side...then let us know.
