Old car with 31x12x3 ebay intercooler

Glad I got rid of it. I don't know if there was a boost leak in my old setup I never caught or the backdoor setup really helps that much but switching to an 18x6x3 core backdoor pwr shaved a ton off my spool time. Plus I didn't like the bumper hacking. In the second picture it's crooked but that was just for mock up.
To mount it I just drilled holes in the top of the core support for long bolts and on the bottom I just took and bolted some brackets comming off the bottom of the intercooler to the bottom of the core support using holes that were already there.

No pics but just did a 32x12x3.5 on an EG and i am telling you now there is no way to fit a 4" core and keep the stock grill if thats what your planning, 3.5" left is 1/4" of grill.

32x12x3 , 3 inch inlet and outlet . , and i dont care the tags showing i dont have them anymore lol
as far as fitment besides the obvious bumper trimming , i just notched the bumper support and bolted the intercooler to the top peice of metal on the support

my support isnt removed either , its the same as the teal car just notched so the top of the IC goes into the support to bolt the intercooler to the top of the support . mine is 3 inch's thick and i had little more then a 1/4 grill left it was to flimsy for my liking which is why i cut it all out
if you plan on running 3 inch thick , go by a cheap belt sander it saved SO much time thinning my grill out to allow the intercooler

i wanted to keep the support just incase someone backed up into it. t he car wont be a total lost
some metal bracing it is better then nothingi used L brackets to mount the intercooler. the intercooler had side mount tabs on it.

yea i hate how everyone cuts them out like the pic above mine.... it just makes it look like you cut the bumper out for the intercooler... with the way i have it cut, it looks more like it was meant to be...
